The Online Advising Student Information System (OASIS) is an essential tool for advisors and a primary mode of communication within the advising community.
Prerequisite
All participants must have completed FERPA training within the last two years. If you do not have a valid FERPA training, you will not be able to register for this course.
Course Description
Understanding how OASIS is used to share, gather and interpret advising information can have a meaningful impact on our interactions with students and colleagues across campus. This will be an interactive workshop and is intended for professional advising staff who work primarily with undergraduates. Participants must be current OASIS users and have a basic familiarity with its functionality.
Topics for this workshop include:
- Key features and customization
- How OASIS interacts with other campus systems
- Proper use of notes and documents
- Student reports and data tools
- Additional advising resources
