New Training Assignment for Davis campus Supervisors – Developing and Retaining Talent
Beginning August 1, all Davis campus supervisors and managers will be assigned the virtual instructor-led course Developing and Retaining Talent, designed specifically for UC Davis.
Managers play a critical role in helping employees build skills, explore career pathways and achieve their professional goals.
You’ll leave this course with practical strategies you can use immediately to support your employees and help retain talented staff.
Driven by Employee Feedback
In the 2025 Employee Experience Survey, Davis campus employees reported inconsistent support for career growth and development from their managers.
This training assignment is one action recommended by the Campus Experience Advisory Committee in response to Employee Experience Survey feedback and supports efforts to:
- Build more consistent manager practices across the organization.
- Strengthen support for employee growth and career development.
- Increase employee engagement, trust and retention.
