Violence Is Not Normal
Violence is Not Normal
Avoid normalizing or justifying aggression and violence.
1. Everyone should feel safe at work.
2. Don't make excuses for aggression or physical violence (i.e. patient condition, complex circumstances, high emotions).
3. Support your colleagues when you see aggression or violence.
4. Use or refer colleagues to peer support, Workplace Violence Prevention Counseling, or other self-care resources.
